CWE Name CVEs Why this control addresses it
CWE-532Insertion of Sensitive Information into Log File1,427Procedures mandate excluding sensitive data from logs to prevent unauthorized exposure via audit records.
CWE-117Improper Output Neutralization for Logs103Policy and procedures require sanitization and neutralization when generating audit logs to avoid injection issues.
CWE-778Insufficient Logging25Audit policy requires defining and implementing logging of security-relevant events, directly reducing insufficient logging.
