Address the issue increasing the socket disconnect counter even on such a case, to allow other threads waiting on the same socket lock to properly error out.

Mitigating Controls (NIST 800-53 r5) AI

prevent

Requires cryptographic or protocol-level integrity protection for data in transit, directly countering the MPTCP stream corruption triggered by mishandled fastopen disconnect.

detect

Mandates verification of software and information integrity, enabling detection of the unauthorized data-stream corruption reported in __mptcp_clean_una.

detect

Requires continuous monitoring of kernel network subsystems to identify anomalous behavior such as the WARNING triggered by the MPTCP fastopen bug.
