Summary

CVE-2025-32850 is a high-severity SQL Injection (CWE-89) vulnerability in Siemens Telecontrol Server Basic. Its CVSS base score is 8.7 (High).

Operationally, ranked at the 14.5th percentile by exploit likelihood (below the median); it is not currently listed in the CISA KEV catalog.

Deeper analysis

A SQL injection vulnerability exists in Siemens TeleControl Server Basic in all versions prior to V3.1.2.2. The flaw occurs in the internally used LockTcmSettings method and is tracked as CWE-89. An authenticated remote attacker who can reach TCP port 8000 can exploit it to bypass authorization, read from and write to the application database, and execute code under the NT AUTHORITY\NetworkService account. The issue carries a CVSS 4.0 score of 8.7.

An attacker with valid credentials on the affected system can submit crafted input through the vulnerable method to manipulate SQL queries. Successful exploitation grants direct database access and arbitrary code execution with service-level privileges, without requiring user interaction or additional network hops beyond port 8000 reachability.

The official Siemens advisory at cert-portal.siemens.com/productcert/html/ssa-443402.html describes the affected versions and remediation steps. The EPSS score rose from a baseline of 0.0004 to a peak of 0.0100 after disclosure, indicating a measurable increase in observed exploitation interest that warrants renewed monitoring.
