Deeper analysis
CVE-2025-32870 affects TeleControl Server Basic in all versions prior to V3.1.2.2. The flaw is an SQL injection vulnerability reachable via the internally used GetTraces method, which permits an authenticated remote attacker to interact directly with the application's database.
An attacker who can reach TCP port 8000 on a host running the vulnerable software can bypass authorization checks, read from and write to the database, and execute operating-system commands under the NT AUTHORITY\NetworkService account. The CVSS 4.0 score of 8.7 reflects network attack vector, low attack complexity, and high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The Siemens advisory SSA-443402 recommends updating to version V3.1.2.2 or later to remediate the issue.
EPSS for the CVE rose from a low of 0.0004 to a peak of 0.0100, indicating that exploitation interest increased after disclosure. No confirmed in-the-wild exploitation has been reported to date.
