Deeper analysis

Ecommerce-Website version 1.1.0 contains an arbitrary file upload flaw in the administrative slides management functionality at /admin/index.php?slides. The issue, tracked as CWE-434, permits an authenticated user to upload a crafted PHP file that is subsequently executed on the server, yielding arbitrary code execution. The vulnerability received a CVSS 3.1 base score of 8.8.

An attacker with low-privileged administrative access can exploit the flaw by uploading a malicious PHP payload through the affected endpoint, after which the web server executes the uploaded file and grants the attacker control over the application and underlying host. Public proof-of-concept material, including Packet Storm entries and a GitHub repository, demonstrates the upload and remote code execution steps.

EPSS scores for the CVE remained low after disclosure but rose materially to a peak of 0.0749 in January 2025 before receding to the current value of 0.0294, indicating a later surge in exploitation interest that may justify renewed defensive attention. No vendor advisory or patch information appears among the referenced sources.
