A vulnerability in Veeam ONE permits an unauthenticated remote user to obtain details of the SQL Server connection string used by the product to reach its configuration database. The flaw affects the Veeam ONE component responsible for database connectivity and carries a CVSS 3.1 score of 9.8, reflecting network attack vector, low complexity, and no required credentials or user interaction. Successful disclosure can expose credentials or server details that enable further attacks against the database host.
An attacker with network access to a Veeam ONE installation can exploit the issue without authentication to retrieve the connection information and subsequently achieve remote code execution on the SQL Server that hosts the Veeam ONE configuration database.
