Deeper analysis

The Management App for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress, which provides order notifications, order management, lead management, and uptime monitoring, is affected by an arbitrary file upload vulnerability in all versions through 1.2.2. The flaw stems from missing file type validation inside the nouvello_upload_csv_file function, which is reachable via the plugin's API controller and allows upload of arbitrary files to the server.

Authenticated attackers holding subscriber-level access or higher can exploit the issue over the network without user interaction. Successful exploitation permits upload of malicious files that may lead to remote code execution, granting the attacker full control over the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the affected site.

The referenced WordPress plugin trac changesets document code fixes that address the missing validation, indicating that updating beyond version 1.2.2 resolves the exposure. The associated Wordfence advisory entry further catalogs the vulnerability and its remediation.

EPSS for this CVE has remained flat at 0.0520 with no material rise observed after disclosure.
