The Import Export Suite for CSV and XML Datafeed plugin for WordPress contains an arbitrary file upload vulnerability stemming from missing file type validation in the import_single_post_as_csv() function. The flaw affects all versions through 7.19, was reintroduced in 7.20, and was ultimately corrected in 7.20.1, carrying a CVSS 3.1 score of 8.8 under CWE-434.
Authenticated users with Subscriber privileges or greater can exploit the issue over the network to upload arbitrary files to the server, which may result in remote code execution on the affected site.
