The WP User Frontend Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the delete_avatar_ajax() function in all versions up to and including 4.1.3. The issue is a path traversal flaw (CWE-22) that received a CVSS 3.1 score of 8.1.
Authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access and above can exploit the vulnerability to delete arbitrary files on the server. Successful exploitation can readily lead to remote code execution when files such as wp-config.php are removed.
