CVE-2025-31015 is a PHP Local File Inclusion vulnerability arising from improper control of filenames in include/require statements. It affects the WordPress SMTP Service, Email Delivery Solved! — MailHawk plugin in versions up to and including 1.3.1, and carries a CVSS 3.1 score of 7.5.
An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit the flaw by supplying a crafted filename that causes the plugin to include arbitrary local files, potentially leading to disclosure of sensitive information or execution of attacker-controlled code within the WordPress context.
The issue is tracked in a Patchstack advisory that identifies the affected plugin versions. The EPSS score rose from a low baseline to a peak of 0.0217 on 2026-05-20 before receding to its current value of 0.0036, indicating a period of increased exploitation interest after disclosure.
