Deeper analysis

The Drag and Drop Multiple File Upload (Pro) - WooCommerce plugin for WordPress contains an arbitrary file upload vulnerability stemming from missing file type validation in the dnd_upload_cf7_upload_chunks() function. Affected instances include versions 5.0 through 5.0.5 when bundled with the PrintSpace theme as well as all standalone versions through 1.7.1. The issue is tracked as CWE-434 and carries a CVSS 3.1 score of 9.8.

Unauthenticated attackers can send crafted requests to upload arbitrary files to the server. While a .htaccess file disables PHP execution, remote code execution remains possible under certain server configurations, potentially allowing full compromise of the affected site.

Public references from Wordfence and the plugin developer document the affected versions and note that CVE-2025-49885 may be a duplicate. The associated EPSS score remains flat at 0.0209 with no material increase observed after disclosure.
