mechanism can be bypassed. The specific flaw exists within the hap_pair_verify_handler function of the hk_hap service, which listens on TCP port 8080 by default. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a heap-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of root. Was ZDI-CAN-28337.
