The vulnerability CVE-2022-42466 is a cross-site scripting issue (CWE-79) that affects editable string properties of domain objects in the impacted software prior to release 2.0.0-M9. An end user could supply a value containing JavaScript or similar markup that would be persisted unchanged and later rendered directly in the user interface.
An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit the flaw by setting a malicious string on any editable property, resulting in script execution in the browser context of other users who view the object. The CVSS 3.1 score of 6.1 reflects network attack vector, low complexity, and impacts limited to confidentiality and integrity without requiring authentication.
