Why these techniques?

The stored XSS vulnerability in the WordPress plugin allows authenticated low-privilege users (contributor+) to inject arbitrary JavaScript into pages, enabling drive-by compromise when victims view the pages, exploitation of the public-facing application, malicious JavaScript execution, and theft of web session cookies via executed scripts.
