Summary

CVE-2026-110385 is a high-severity External Control of File Name or Path (CWE-73) vulnerability. Its CVSS base score is 8.7 (High).

Operationally, exploitation aligns with the MITRE ATT&CK technique NTDS (T1003.003); ranked in the top 37% of CVEs by exploit likelihood; it is not currently listed in the CISA KEV catalog.

The strongest mitigations our analysis identified map to AC-3 (Access Enforcement) and SI-10 (Information Input Validation) — see the control section below for these in your framework.

supplied through the optional third argument of builder.SaveFile(). By injecting a duplicate m_sFileTo element, an attacker can override the server-generated output path and write arbitrary content outside the designated job directory. This allows the attacker to overwrite the runtime.json configuration file, modify the Document Builder executable path and arguments, and execute arbitrary commands when a subsequent Document Builder job is processed.
