Deeper analysis

Car Rental Management System v1.0 contains a SQL injection vulnerability (CWE-89) in the administrative booking management component. The flaw is reachable at the endpoint /car-rental-management-system/admin/manage_booking.php by supplying a crafted id parameter, allowing an authenticated user to alter the SQL query executed against the backend database.

An attacker who already possesses administrative credentials can send a malicious request over the network to extract, modify, or delete arbitrary database contents, resulting in complete loss of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The CVSS 7.2 vector reflects that the attack requires high privileges but needs no user interaction and has low attack complexity.

Public references consist solely of GitHub proof-of-concept reports that document the injection point; no vendor advisory, patch, or mitigation guidance is referenced. The associated EPSS score has remained flat at 0.1178 with no observable increase after disclosure.
