Deeper analysis

The Email Subscribers by Icegram Express plugin for WordPress contains a SQL injection vulnerability in the run function of the IG_ES_Subscribers_Query class. The flaw stems from insufficient escaping of user-supplied parameters and missing prepared-statement handling in the existing query construction, affecting all versions through 5.7.14. Successful exploitation allows direct manipulation of database queries.

Unauthenticated attackers with network access can supply crafted input that appends arbitrary SQL clauses to existing subscriber queries. This permits extraction of sensitive database contents, with the vulnerability carrying a CVSS 3.1 score of 9.8 reflecting no required privileges or user interaction.

Public references point to a patched changeset in the plugin repository that addresses the query handling in class-ig-es-subscriber-query.php. Administrators are advised to update to the fixed release available through the WordPress plugin directory.

The associated EPSS score currently stands at 0.9092 with a recorded peak of 0.9164, indicating sustained high exploitation interest following disclosure.
