CVE-2025-32475
Published: 16 April 2025
Summary
CVE-2025-32475 is a high-severity SQL Injection (CWE-89) vulnerability in Siemens Telecontrol Server Basic. Its CVSS base score is 8.7 (High).
Operationally, ranked at the 23.3th percentile by exploit likelihood (below the median); it is not currently listed in the CISA KEV catalog.
Deeper analysis
A vulnerability has been identified in TeleControl Server Basic versions prior to V3.1.2.2 consisting of an SQL injection flaw in the internally used UpdateProject method. The affected component allows an authenticated remote attacker with network access to port 8000 to bypass authorization controls, read from and write to the application database, and execute code under the NT AUTHORITY\NetworkService account. The issue is tracked as CWE-89 and carries a CVSS 4.0 score of 8.7 reflecting network attack vector, low complexity, and high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
An attacker who can reach the exposed port on a system running a vulnerable instance may leverage the injection to manipulate database contents and achieve code execution without further user interaction. Successful exploitation therefore requires only valid credentials and network reachability to the TeleControl Server Basic service.
Siemens has published advisory SSA-443402 describing the issue and directing users to upgrade to version V3.1.2.2 or later.
The EPSS score for this CVE rose from a low starting value of 0.0008 to a peak of 0.0100, indicating that exploitation interest emerged after disclosure and that the vulnerability warrants renewed attention.
