Deeper analysis
Marvell QConvergeConsole contains a directory traversal vulnerability in the getFileUploadSize method that permits remote information disclosure. The flaw stems from insufficient validation of a user-supplied path before it is used in file operations, allowing an attacker to read arbitrary files on affected installations. The issue was originally reported as ZDI-CAN-24914 and carries a CVSS 3.1 score of 7.5.
Unauthenticated remote attackers can exploit the vulnerability over the network to disclose sensitive information in the context of the SYSTEM account. No user interaction or credentials are required, and the attack leverages only the lack of path sanitization within the affected method.
The Zero Day Initiative advisory ZDI-25-455 provides the technical details of the flaw. The associated EPSS score has remained flat at 0.0223 with no material increase since disclosure.
