CVE-2026-102695
Raw vector
CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:HCVSS and EPSS are reproduced from their sources (NVD, FIRST EPSS). Risk Priority is our own derived reading, not an NVD score.
Summary
CVE-2026-102695 is a high-severity Insufficient Verification of Data Authenticity (CWE-345) vulnerability. Its CVSS base score is 8.2 (High).
Operationally, exploitation aligns with the MITRE ATT&CK technique Automated Collection (T1119); ranked at the 22th percentile by exploit likelihood (below the median); it is not currently listed in the CISA KEV catalog.
The strongest mitigations our analysis identified map to AC-3 (Access Enforcement) and AC-6 (Least Privilege) — see the control section below for these in your framework.

Vulnerability Data
OmniFaces is a utility library for Faces. In OmniFaces versions before 1.14.3, 2.7.33, 3.14.23, 4.7.12, and 5.4.2, CombinedResourceHandler accepts a structurally valid deflated and base64 encoded combined resource ID without verifying that the server issued it. A forged ID can…

cause unbounded decoded output, add unique reconstructed IDs to a process-lifetime cache, or combine resources other than stylesheets and scripts. Because jakarta.faces.RESOURCE_EXCLUDES is not applied by this custom resolution path, a forged ID can disclose Facelets source from the webapp resource tree or META-INF/resources. In a deployment configured with the wildcard CDN mapping, a forged ID that selects omnifaces.graphic can also cause a blind, deployment-dependent server-side fetch whose destination derives partly from the request Host header. The flaw does not provide arbitrary file read or establish arbitrary-scheme or arbitrary-destination SSRF. The shared authenticity failure permits memory exhaustion and limited resource disclosure. This issue is fixed in versions 1.14.3, 2.7.33, 3.14.23, 4.7.12, and 5.4.2.

Mitigating Controls (NIST 800-53 r5) AI
AC-3 directly enforces authorization checks on access to files and directories, stopping unauthorized external exposure.
AC-6 limits granted privileges, reducing the chance that files or directories become reachable by external parties.
Resource allocation controls bound memory/CPU consumption that a data-amplification attack would otherwise exhaust.
Input validation can reject or limit decompression of data whose expansion ratio exceeds safe thresholds.
Mitigating Controls (NIST CSF 2.0) AI
Derived directly from the weakness types (CWEs) cited in the NVD entry via our AI-authored CWE→CSF cross-walk (authority under review) — links open the control.
Runtime monitoring of compute resources can detect exhaustion caused by decompression bombs.
Enforcing least-privilege permissions and authorization policies directly prevents unauthorized file/directory exposure.
Data-at-rest protections such as encryption or ACLs reduce the impact of unintended file exposure.
Logical segmentation and access protections stop external parties from reaching files that should remain internal.
Capacity planning and monitoring directly limits the availability impact of data-amplification attacks.
Hardened configuration baselines commonly include file-system permission settings that limit external access.

Configuration rules from DISA STIG baselines that bear on weaknesses of the type cited by this CVE. Each rule is shown with the relationship its mapping actually records, against the CWE it was authored against.
